Both Misato and Takuma ask Sawaki to attend class for them, since they have some sort of 'interview' planned. Later, at Professor Itsuki's lab, the two return, apparently successful. They arrive just in time for Professor Itsuki and co to try out some surströmming. According to Professor Itsuki, surströmming is the world's smelliest canned food, and it is from Sweden. Um, yay.

'Best time to eat' is a euphemism for 'about to explode', amirite?
While the group prepares side dishes, Hasegawa asks Takuma why he and Misato are so ecstatic. Takuma tells her that they went to a job interview and were hired. After the side dishes are prepared, it's time to open the surströmming.

Poor Aoi.
Professor Itsuki assures Mutou that if she opens the can correctly, at a 45-degree angle, the contents will not spray out. However, that being said, he still has Mutou wear a poncho and gloves, while he himself readies an umbrella.

She probably needed that umbrella more.
The group eat afterwards, but Oikawa cannot stand the smell and runs off, with Mutou on her tail. Professor Itsuki gives one of the remaining surströmming cans to Sawaki (Oh joy), and also asks Hasegawa if she needs to attend 'that', which brings us to the next scene.
On the 57th floor of a high-rise, the elevator doors open to reveal a very well-dressed Haruka. As she enters the restaurant, all the servers address her as 'Lady Haruka'.

Wow, royalty.
As Haruka enters, however, she hears two familiar voices. Turning to see the bumbling duo of Misato and Takuma, she immediately orders them to be fired.

So much for all their hard work, haha.
The staff try to drag Misato and Takuma out, but the two cause a lot of commotion. Haruka, however, insists that they be allowed to stay, but the duo quickly realize that this restaurant is out of their league. (8,000 yen for appetizers?!)
Haruka sits at a table with two men, and through a course of angsty dialogue we find out that she is a victim of arranged marriage.

Glasses = fiancee; angry-looking-guy = father.
It becomes clear that Haruka is doing the graduate program at the agricultural university to delay for time, despite her father's disapproval. When her father proceeds to speak badly about Professor Itsuki, Haruka excuses herself to the restroom. Having brought along Misato and Takuma, she begs them to help her escape, and they in turn turn to Sawaki for help. Sawaki, of course, has no idea what to do, until he spies the surströmming can Professor Itsuki gave him.

I think I know where this may be going…
Shortly after, Sawaki appears at the 57th floor of the highrise. A staff member informs him that the restaurant is booked, but he asks them to deliver a brown paper bag. When the staff member disappears inside, Sawaki makes a run for the elevator. The elevator arrives just as Misato and Takuma burst out of the restaurant bearing Haruka, and they all escape into the elevator.

Better or worse than a stinkbomb?
Having been saved, Haruka reluctantly agrees to go along with whatever plans Misato and Takuma have. They all go to a bar where the leaders of the Autonomous Dormitory Resistance are waiting. The two boys brighten up when they see Haruka, but are shocked into silence, creating an awkward situation. Haruka enlists Sawaki's presence, but even that doesn't alleviate things.
Later that night, at Haruka's apartment, all three girls gather for some social time. Haruka goes to bed, while Aoi takes some of her liquor to drink. In a dream, Haruka remembers when she first met Professor Itsuki. He gave her a chalet with a physarum polycephalum, which a mold able to solve mazes.

Awwh, high-school Haruka.
She is woken up by Mutou, however, who crashes into Haruka's bed drunk. Aoi says that Haruka has changed, due to meeting Misato and Takuma.
The next day, Sawaki is passing by the liquor shop from the episode 5 when he sees a 'girl' dressed in gothic lolita step out. As his eyes widen, we can conclude where Kei's been all this time.

lol screw it, I spoiled it for everyone already anyway.
Thoughts:
Ahaha, I've been waiting for this episode. The girl that Sawaki sees is obviously Kei …well, you didn't hear that from me. >_>
On the other hand, the course of events during this episode were a bit confusing to me. It almost seems like Misato and Takuma planned the entire thing in order to allow Haruka to see their pitiful dormmates, but the chaotic events leading up to such cause me to believe otherwise.
I'll be posting up Shigofumi 4 today as well, to make up for the last two days of inactivity.
