Rahzel and crew are trekking in a snow-covered valley when they are hit by an avalanche. Hi-tan suggests that Rahzel lift them up with magic, and she does so for herself and Alzeid but not him. However, something wraps around Rahzel's leg and drags her down into a hole, with Alzeid and Hi-tan following close behind.

Yoink.
After a flashback to his youth, Alzeid wakes up to find a little girl exclaiming, 'They're the same! The same color as mine!'

Assumedly the woman who kills Alzeid's father.

The same~!
Rahzel and Hi-tan quickly show up, and jokingly wonder if Alzeid has an illegitimate child.

Alzied engages in mitosis?
Some villagers come running from the distance, yelling 'Ludovika, Ludovika!' A short misunderstanding culminates in the group meeting with the village elder. Flimsy attempt at biology involves the elder explaining Ludovika's albinism, the lack of melanin makes her vulernable to sunlight.

lolk
The village elder asks Alzeid how he is able to go into the sun, but he responds as cryptically as ever. After the elder leaves, Hi-tan makes fun of Rahzel, prompting her to pull a full katana out of her bear.

If only I could have that much inventory space in some MMO's.
Ludovika, who has been clinging to Alzeid this entire time, asks him what the sky looks like. He responds that it's just like Rahzel's eyes.
Later that night, Rahzel tells Alzeid they should take Ludovika out to see the sun.
Meanwhile the shadow from the trees outside seem to be creeping up near the room Rahzel and crew are staying in. The group mentions that they've all felt rather uneasy since coming to the village.

Uh oh
As Alzeid goes to brush teeth, the trees outside are shown talking to each other. Along with the village elder, the trees agree that in order to save Ludovika, they must kill Rahzel's group and use them as fertilizer. Unfortunately for them, Alzeid hears the whole thing.
Alzeid quickly has Rahzel and Hi-tan leave, but is ridiculed along the way by both of them. Hi-tan mentions that they've been going in circles, and Ludovika shows up, offering to guide them out. After pep-talking Ludovika, Alzeid has a flashback.

More flashback.
Rahzel decides to take Ludovika along (Wasn't that her original plan?), and calls for sunglasses and sunblock. However, they are attacked. The same 'branches' that grabbed Rahzel earlier attack her, with Hi-tan rooting for them as 'tentacles'. (Rip her skirt off, etc.)

They're just referencing the hell out of this episode, aren't they?
The village elder shows up to explain why the trees are doing this.

So I don't need to type it out.
Just as branches are about to skewer Alzeid from behind, Ludovika jumps in and uses her body as a shield.

That'll leave a mark. (But it didn't.)
The trees are shocked into submission from this, and cease their attack. Cradled in Alzeid's arms, Ludovika says she can see the sky, and is happy.

Yay sky

She then proceeds to burst into flower petals.

Science no mix well with trees personified as humans.
Thoughts:
So uh, yay. We find out that Alzeid is an albino. One of those obvious things that doesn't really click, since characters in animes always have wacky hair and eye colors. They don't really explain how Alzeid is able to walk freely in sunlight, though. (At least, I haven't seen him regularly applying sunblock.) A lot of Alzeid flashbacks this episode, we catch slight glimpses of the woman he is hunting, whose eyes' color are remarkably similar to Rahzel's. Aside from that, the flashbacks don't seem to make too much sense, a boy and a woman wearing only a dress shirt locked up in a room.
