Accompanied by Remerio's Liebert, Lawrence and crew head to Ramtra. Unfamiliar with shepherds, Liebert tries to hurry ahead when they stop in early afternoon for Nora's nap. Lawrence convinces him to stay.
En route, Horo notes that Nora's dog Enik knows about her but is hiding it. Lawrence voices his concern for Nora, causing Horo a twinge of jealousy.
That night, a peaceful rest is interrupted by an imminent wolf attack. A quick-acting Nora gathers everyone, pulls out her horn (Horo winces.), and blows it, scaring off the wolves. Afterwards, Nora says that these wolves are strange because they don't howl or show signs of attacking. Horo quietly affirms this.
Reaching Ramtra the next morning, Liebert heads into the city while Lawrence and crew wait on the outskirts.
Nora asks a surprised Horo if she is familiar with wolves, since Horo too was quick to react the night before. Horo changes the subject to Lawrence, saying that Nora is the 'prey' and the men are the 'wolves'. She eventually brushes it off as coincidence. Nora goes on to say that whether or not this job succeeds, she'll stop being a shepherd. They all settle down for a nap, and soon after Liebert returns with a sack full of gold.
Heading back to Rubinheigen, however, does not fare as easily. Covered by downpour, the group is soon flanked by the wolves. Horo says that they should be safe due to Nora's skill, since the formation kept by Nora doesn't allow the wolves to attack without risking one of their own. Something goes wrong, though, and one of the wolves breaks in and is about to attack when Horo tells it to bugger off.
Seeing that the situation calls for some super-special transformation, Horo and Lawrence urge Nora and Liebert to go on ahead. Lawrence and Horo then split up, promising that they will meet again.
Amidst a sea of wolves, Horo faces off against super huge wolf boss.
Meanwhile, a group of men find Lawrence trying to dry his clothes. Liebert sent them to see if Lawrence is safe. Relief quickly turns to exasperation, however, when they suddenly apprehend Lawrence. Remerio Company has betrayed Lawrence. The men apparently have Nora captive elsewhere, and discuss whether or not to kill her. Deciding against any killing, they leave Lawrence tied up.
Thoughts:
Uh oh. I didn't really like Remerio's appearance from the beginning, but I thought I was just being paranoid. Guess not. Looks like it's up to Horo to save the day, she's the one with the most combat prowess - unless Nora really does have pagan magicks. However, Horo was last seen outnumbered, Lawrence is tied up, and Nora is who-knows-what-happened; so the situation is looking pretty bleak.
zuhhh next episode do want.
(Also for those who read Atarashii Prelude, I didn't write this entry with that intent of imitating screencap placement. I'm too lazy to re-write the whole entry, so I'll attempt to avoid this style on future posts.)
