A flashback shows Alzeid and Hi-tan, who were apparently used to be members of the same organization, watch and cheer for a participant in a boxing match.
In the present, Alzeid asks Rahzel to stay put with him, but as expected she wanders off during his lecture. She saves a young boy from being bullied, who then follows her around. The two are relaxing when the boy's apparent guardian, the same man from Alzeid and Hi-tan's flashback (his name is Solesta), appears. Solesta treats the boy roughly, and Rahzel picks a fight with him. Rahzel is lifted into the air, and as the man pulls a sword Rahzel prepares her magic, only to be stopped by Hi-tan wearing an afro.
Later, they all gather at a local pub to talk. The boy, Vin, is the son of a rich noble family, which is experiencing internal strife. A military unit is escorting the boy, which Solesta is a part of. Alzeid, Hi-tan, and Solesta used to be in the same military unit. Pictures are brought out, but only of Alzeid - one of his younger days, and another of him dressed in a maid uniform. Hi-tan says that Alzeid lost a bet to him.
Rahzel asks Hi-tan why the afro, and the latter responds that he is leaving Rahzel, and kisses her. This earns him a prompt slap. (Although the scene lasted a full 13 seconds.)
Alzeid drops by Rahzel's room later, and asks that she not use magic for 3 days. He tells her that if she had actually fought Solesta, she would have lost. Naturally, Rahzel disagrees, so Alzeid pushes her onto the bed, as if to kiss her. He then tells her she has questionable defenses, and a flustered Rahzel says she'll abstain from magic for a week.
While Rahzel takes Vin out for ice cream, Alzeid and Hi-tan talk. Hi-tan says that Solesta asked him to help look over Vin, so he has to leave Rahzel. Meanwhile, a scheming Solesta gives some men the go-ahead, and they promptly take Rahzel and Vin hostage. Rahzel says she needs to tie her shoes, then proceeds to whirlwind kick their captors. She and Vin run through the alleys when they reach a dead-end/locked door, and Rahzel proves her non-mahou resourcefulness by picking the lock. Once inside the storehouse, Vin wants to run out through the front, but Rahzel asks him to trust her. Both of them gather up powdered goods, then hide in the trapdoor wine cellar. When their pursuers reach the storehouse, they are unable to see because of all the 'dust'. One of them calls for light, but as soon as a lighter is used, the entire place explodes.
Meanwhile a sly Solesta shows up and taunts Alzeid with the fact that a magic-barred Rahzel with a helpless rich boy are very soft targets.
In the wine cellar, Rahzel asks Vin if he trusted her because she has magic. He replies no, he trusted her because she is his friend. They try to open the door, but it won't budge. Alzeid saves the day though, opening the door for them.
Hi-tan watches from afar, and makes some observations to another unseen person. He refers to the latter as 'Mr. Employer', which suggests that Hi-tan is not with Rahzel just for kicks and giggles.
Thoughts:
Not sure what was going on half the time, and I'm still not too sure. Anyway, considering how we never even knew HOW Hi-tan joined their merry party, it goes without saying that he can be subbed out at any time. He's not even with the group for the most part. Solesta is definitely being portrayed as sinister, but for what reason? I can guess that he wants to eliminate Rahzel so that Alzeid and Hi-tan will join up with him again, but endangering Vin as well? Doesn't seem like a good idea. Lastly, Hi-tan is continually shown as having a more serious side, but the way he keeps on being used as a clown really undermines that. Who is this employer, anyway?
Will fan subbing ever die?

Isn’t she too young for them? I don’t follow this series but then I just thought I should pop by and see how Hatenkou Yuugi is doing.

There’s not much to follow, honestly. =p It’s pretty episodic.
I have no idea about Rahzel’s age, but I would have to agree that Alzeid and Hi-tan seem a bit old. Maybe back when they were still enlisted…
