I wonder about that…

This is just not Kurenai Shinkurou day. As one of his jobs is bombed due to arm acting up. He's a dispute mediator. He handles problems others won't. But it seems this one got away. Meanwhile, in the rich part of the city, we have another fight going on. It seems a lady and a little girl are running from some people. She is drinking some water. She says it taste like salt water. The older women tells her that Yayoi says the same thing.

Meanwhile, Yayoi is taking out the trash. They stop and take a look at the house afterwards. They wonder if a god is residing in there. Cut to a man walking down some stairs to meet a women. She had a rough upbringing a lady tells him that he meets. He says he's know that as we now know him as Renjou. She tells him that the young lady wish to go out. He tells her that's not possible. Souju-sama wanted it. He then slams her to the ground. He says she not suppose to go out at all. What do you think the kuhouin's affairs are? Which flashes back to him being told to serve only the family and forget about his emotions. Even if Souji gives birth to a girl. The Inner Sanctuary is all that there is. They then go to a women walking in a garden. Kazuko is her name. Renjou asked her about the flowers. She doesn't really pay attention to them as for stepping on some. As he though. Cutting to a girl putting on a yukata, she will be called Murasaki. It then shows Kazuko hitting Souji for teaching her how to dress. Murasaki tries to stop her.  Being that she knows that Kazuko is not her mother, she doesn't include her in a arrangement she's made. Seeing that she lost her mother, Renjou is worried. But that is the just the beginning. Returning back to the present, Renjou throws the women down again and walks off. He curses the women. The older women named Benika is still looking at the house as with the others. Murasaki asked if she can return. Benika tells her, if it's promised, it'll happen. Seeing she must live in society now.

Back in school, Kurenai is talking to someone about another job. Murakami is a gatherer of info for him. She is getting on his case about certain things but he passes with the skin of his teeth. Meanwhile another girl shows up named Yuuno. Murakami is not a big fan of her and she takes off. Yuuno tells Kurenai that she thinks she not a big fan of her. He tells her she wasn't always like that. Yuuno says she notices that there always together. Kurenai smiles and says "you think so?" Yuuno makes a puffy face.

After another job finished, Kurenai goes to see Benika for another job and pay.  She asked about the pay from recent one. He says it's just a thank you gift he got. Yayoi tells her it's a TV. She laughs as it's told. Kurenai wants to get in on a big job. He wants to be recognized. She tells him he's not ready. He believes he is. To prove to her that he is ready and forget about his past. He leaves. Then Yayoi talks to her about the recent job coming up. She then tells her she goes by intuition, not logic. Going home, Kurenai runs into some of the his residents. They don't say there names yet, but we know there going to be a fun bunch. Afterwards Benika and Yayoi show up with Kurenai's new job. Protecting the daughter of the Inner Sanctuary. First, he doesn't seem what to say, but accepts after having his own flashback memory. Benika trusts him and tells him to keep her safe. She ask Yayoi to keep and eye on him and her.

That's a man for ya. Gotta uphold the justice.

He introduces himself to her only to have his hand slapped away. She ask him where her room is. He tells her here. She is pretty much dumb founded at where he lives. She calls him her servant. He wonders why she is like this. Her voicing of things and other stuff really surprised him. She is really use to royalty. She starts to change and he ask her if he wants him to leave the room. She says no as he is to help her. She tries to zip up a jacket that Benika bought for her. But she gets help from him. He tells her he's not a servant but the one that is going to protect her. She wonders about that in her eyes. Later on, Murasaki can't sleep. He tells her to try too. You need sleep. She ask about him. He says he can sleep in any situation. He tells her good night while they both go to sleep.

Aww, how cute.

Murasaki wakes up to find Kurenai going to school. She ask why. He ask her if she went to school. She says Kuhouin women didn't have to attend school. He goes to ask more but forgets it. He pretty much tells her to stay in the room and don't go out until he comes back. She looks depressed as he leaves the room. At school, Kurenai is talking to Murakami about info on the Kuhouins. She tells him to stay away from Benika jobs. He'll be in trouble later on. He just sighs as she does her search. Kurenai comes to find out Murasaki isn't there. While going on a frantic search, he gets a call from Benkai asking how everything is going. He lies telling her everything is pretty much fine. Benika then calls Yayoi and tells her to only step in if it's necessarily. Kurenai thinks to himself how he screwed up and promised to protect her. Just then, he finds her crying away. She tells him she's not afraid to be by herself and to be alone. She not afraid to be like her mother back then. She continues to cry harder as Kurenai embraces her in his arms. He tells her he's sorry. It continues while Yayoi pulls out her cell in the distance.

Summary:

Like I said before, this is probably gonna be one of the best series this season. I really enjoy this one. The storyline, the artstyle, the characters, everything. You can't help but to fall in love in Murasaki's personality. She's like an adult, but only seven. This one is very much worth watching. I recommend it to everyone.
