Okay so gooooooooooooo super-short and sweet summary with key points because I'm really tired and lazy and feel like just doing what blissmo did for Toshokan 2. That is, be silly on the screencaps I take. For those who wanted to use my screencaps for something, I'm sorry. :(
Nobeyama Sohachi, a rich CEO fellow, passes away. This leaves the status of his personal library, the Museum of Information History in Odawa, up in the air. Kanto Book Squad has been tasked to retreive items from the library, but naturally so does the Media Cleansing Committee. Inevitable armed conflict has Iku singled out by Dojo, who has assigned her to a rather menial task - pushing Chairman Inamine Kazuichi's wheelchair.
Iku's not happy about such a low-profile role, etc etc. On the day of the book retrieval, the Kanto Book Squad, supported by the Kanagawa Prefecture Defense Force, are holed up in the museum. They are soon set siege to by the Media Cleansing Committee, and an all-out firefight begins. The librarians use helicopters to lift out the books, as well as injured troops. Once Kanto has retreived all the material they want, Genda hands over control of the museum to the Media Cleansing Committee.
The fight isn't over, though. Just before the episode ends, Iku and Chairman Inamine are ambushed by some plaincothes men.
People to note:
Inamine Kazuichi - Chairman and commander of the Kanto Book Squad. He's a survivor of the Hino Nightmare, where he lost his wife and use of his right leg. A forefront figure in the fight against censorship.
Orikuchi Maki from Sesou Publishing - She covers the news story of Kanto Book Squad defending the Museum of Information History. Also, her news team helps provide an extra helicopter to the librarians.
Thoughts:
If anyone was wondering from last episode, Tezuka is still bothering Iku about his proposal. She hasn't refused, but you definitely get the feeling she doesn't want to accept.
The whole firefight between the librarians and the facists (I call them this because of lolcensorship) was kind of a farce. If the censorship committee were serious, wouldn't they have shot down the librarians' helicopters with rockets, or something? Then there's also the peaceful handing-off control of the facility. I mean, people have been SHOT. And maybe DEAD.
Again, I still don't get why the central government has to put up with the local governments.
But enough of that, on with the (hopefully) lulz pictures!
