Kei invites Hikari to his house, since she hasn't been in a while. There, they witness Kei's little brother Sui chase off yet another tutor. Sui yells something nasty to the tutor, ticking off Hikari, who kicks down Sui's door. As a result, Hikari becomes Sui's new tutor to pay for the damage.
Sui is an introverted, antisocial boy who sits at home and plays games all day. Hikari and Sui don't get along so well, especially when she does things like spontaneous contests with Kei. (Catching dragonflies, Kei wins 57 - 56.) The source of Sui's defeatist attitude is revealed throughout the episode, when he says that Kei is 'a robot with a human mask' and 'I'll never be able to match my brother's standard'.
Later, it also becomes apparent that Sui merely craves attention from his brother. Not surprising, since Kei has the people skills of a block of ice. Kei says something that causes Sui to run away. As Hikari leaves, she realizes that Kei really does care for his brother.
Hikari finds Sui, but he tries to run. She grabs him, but the momentum causes them to fall backwards and she hits her head on the overlook railing. Sui decides to carry her back, despite being smaller. Halfway, Sui's strength gives out, just as Kei comes running towards them from within dense vegetation. (He'd begin running when his Hikari-sense went off.) After making sure Hikari's okay, Kei praises Sui for taking care of her.
The next day, Sui meets Hikari and Kei at the Special A class. He says that he wants Kei to tutor him instead, stating that Kei is more efficient, and that he loves his big brother. Hikari is, of course, devastated.
Thoughts:
While I, too, was amused by Kei's father, this episode really didn't do much. I'm finding myself wanting the plot to advance in the only possible direction - Hikari falling for Kei. (Or realizing that Kei likes her, at the very least.) While this episode was more interesting than the last (introduction of new characters), I could honestly care less about Kei's brother. Well, at least until he becomes crucial to the plot. Which will probably be never.

*yawns* Kei’s brother, he’s got nothing over Rollo in the brotherly love department :P And for ’some’ reason I automatically assumed that the dad was the younger brother when he first appeared -_-”

At this point, I would happily enjoy a tragic death for Hikari. Or Kei. Or both of them, Romeo and Juliet style. x.x
