Someone can't quit smoking.

After 'attempting' to study at Irie's house, Kotoko's friends end up having Naoki do all the work instead. They then proceed to flaunt their achievements to the rest of Class F, and before Naoki knows it he's got an entire class of dumbos at his house. Talking privately with Kotoko afterwards, Naoki discusses about how he doesn't want to attend college.

To thank Naoki for his help, Class F wants to give him a present. Kotoko also feels that she should give him a present - a $250 germanium bracelet she sees in a store window. She works part-time at a diner, and soon it's Christmas time.

Class F's expression of gratitude to Naoki is through an incredibly ugly doll of Kotoko. (Good luck getting help ever again, lols.) Kotoko gives Naoki the really expensive bracelet. Since Naoki naturally didn't get Kotoko a gift, his mother suggests that they take a photo together. Naoki agrees to only one, but as the photo is taken he whispers Kotoko's fast-food welcome line into her ear, shocking her because she hadn't wanted Naoki to know what she was doing.

Thoughts:
So, Jinko's wailing annoyed quite a few of us, and I'm suddenly reminded of a remark my friend made not long ago. She'd said that her 'falling out' with anime was due to the fact that she could simply not stand the voices anymore. I had never really thought about it until I heard Miyu from Aishiteruze Baby. (I didn't get past the first episode of that, btw. I couldn't stand the voice.) Jinko reminded me of that this episode.
Anyway, somehow Naoki gets suckered into tutoring all of Class F. Really? I would have just told them all to gtfo. My house, kay?
I really have to question Kotoko's judgment sometimes. A $250 germanium bracelet. For a guy. Right.

Right, status on my finals. They're… all done! Right now I'm suffering from sleep deprivation, but I'm chugging along on caffeinated soda. Go me~.
