Are-are v3 (Official) Launch~
Oh, the elation at completing an arduous task.
I'm sure many of you have already seen, explored, are familiar with the new layout by now. However, it wasn't until THIS MOMENT that I considered the project complete. I started late last night around 2am (early yesterday morning?), neglected to sleep and worked on it until now. No, it wasn't that hard. I'm just a completely putz at web design.

Some things that have been improved:
- Banner now rotates. We currently have 13 different banners. They were bulk made, so excuse the sloppiness.
- Page title no longer has brain damage. The previous theme didn't have a dynamic way of handling page titles, so every page turned into the "Are-are ~ Unlike the other…". Now, at least we'll have "Are-are >> [pagetitle]". Yays. Helps out the search engine, too.
- Better post titles. The previous theme had such HUGE font for the post titles, and I left it that way because it looked better. However, that prevented me from using interesting names for my posts. This theme uses smaller font sizes.
- Niftier look. Well, I guess this is purely objective.
- Tag cloud! I always wanted a tag cloud, but the thinness of the sidebars in the previous layout prevented me from adding one. Well, problem solved, tag cloud at bottom. We blog a lot of comedy, don't we?
Things that broke:
- The archive page. On the last layout, I spent upwards of 2 hours fixing it. It involved a lot of code surgery using the Kubrick theme. I am NOT doing that again. Enjoy the (most decidedly not) archive page.
Well, +5 -1 makes for a positive change, right? Anyway, the main image for this post is probably a bad representation of my overall feelings right now. Let me find one that is better suited for the job. Ah, here we go:

@ Caitlin: I like fresh colours too! I don’t know why all the guys don’t. D: I’m hoping for an archive page that just lists the months and days… similar to the default Kubrick one.

Just a listing of months and days? I think that can be done. I’ve got work and things are kind of busy but I’ll try it this week.

Little confused…Kubrick lists months and categories, not days…I went into Google’s cache and saw that the old version of are-are also had this…is this what you want?
