Mother attempts to go grocery shopping, but Chi wants to tag along and she won't take no for an answer. Even food is not enough to distract Chi from wanting to go outside. Dad appears to be the savior when he comes home; Mother hands him the shopping list. He's about to head out, though, but now Chi is clinging to him. The Yamadas ends up ordering Soba delivery for dinner. Dad decides it's time to train Chi how to house-sit.

Chi's Sweet Home 30

The Yamadas put away everything that Chi could get tangled in for their impending trip out. Chi is disappointed because nobody is playing with her. Since Chi will be home alone for a good amount of the day, Mother fills Chi's bowl with extra food. Father, Mother, and Youhei then escape out the door, though Father has second thoughts about leaving Chi all ronery-like and has to be restrained by Mother and Youhei.

Chi's Sweet Home 31

Father is continually worried about Chi's state. Mother and Youhei allow him to go back and check once, but when he tries to do it again, they drag him off. Chi wakes up and spills a vase, immediately panicking because she'll get yelled at. That is…until she notices noone's home. Delighted, Chi goes around having fun making a mess of the house.

I died of the saddddddnessssssss :'(

The day progresses, and Chi starts to feel a bit lonely. She wonders if the Yamadas will ever get back. After a fun day at the mall, the Yamadas return, but realizing that they're all worried about Chi they rush into the house to find her sleeping peacefully on Father's shoes. The relief does not last long for Father and Mother though, once they see the state of the apartment.
