Impressions:

This had all the elements a classic X-Files episode. An expedition finds a human-like organism.  A research team uses the cell from the organism to fuse with a human cell, creating some alien looking creature who happens to feed on human innards.  It was an interesting episode, although I thought the case got resolved a little too quickly.  I would've preferred a two-parter because I think they could have developed the suspense and mystery even further.  It would have been great if they ended the ep on some cliffhanger and then make us the audience anticipate what will happen in the next ep.
