The Special A take a trip to Hawaii for fun. Kei is still pretty angry about Hikari's thickheadedness, but whatever. When they touch down, Kei shuts himself into his room, Ryuu has business to attend to, and everyone else goes to participate in some American consumerism. After shopping is done, the group meets Ryuu in front of a villa. Apparently he's (along with the rest of the Special A) has been tasked to babysit his client's ronery son Chitose. The child, who seems to have a sinister side to him, assigns everyone a role. Ryuu is his big brother, Akira his mother, Kei his father, Tadashi his Uncle, Megumi and Jun as grandma and grandpa, and Hikari as pesu or dog.
Despite the humiliation of being treated like a dog by Chitose, Hikari witnesses him looking forlornly at a happy family on the beach, and vows to treat him like family. The next day the group goes out to the beach, everyone's in swimsuits except Hikari who has been told to wear a dog costume by Chitose. At the beach, Chitose goes out of his way to try and make everyone miserable, though Hikari keeps trying to befriend him. He finally tells her that he'll consider being nicer if she brings him a hundred coconuts. After Hikari leaves, the Special A confront Chitose to ask what he's up to. Chitose pouts and is about to leave when Hikari returns…with a hundred coconuts.
Chitose then asks Hikari to retrieve some red flowers, found only on a rock formation in the sea. Hikari gets it, slips, and is saved by Kei. She presents the flowers to Chitose, but the child runs away. He's angered by Ryuu's affection for Jun and Megumi, and says he'll keep Ryuu. Jun and Megumi are horrified. Hikari runs in to see Megumi preparing to scream, so she cups her hands over Chitose's ears. The shockwave affects everyone in the room, though while Ryuu and Jun recover quickly Hikari is still dazed. Seeing Hikari in that state makes Chitose feel even more guilty, so he apologizes to the Special A.
Later, Kei and Ryuu confirm Akira's suspicions, Chitose is Saiga's little brother. Hikari has followed Chitose to the beach, to return the pesu suit. She meets Saiga, and he invites her to his villa.
Thoughts:
Hello! It's nice and all that Hikari decides to be nice to demented little Chitose, but that was seriously just embarrassing when she starting wau'ing like a dog. In a real life situation, I'm sure the rest of the Special A wouldn't want to be seen with her. Hmm, the ill-timed comedic scenes are back, most notably when Chitose first makes his entrance. I seriously gagged. Jun and Megumi getting jealous over Ryuu is getting a bit old too.
Well it seems sinister chauvinist Saiga is behind his brother Chitose's ill-demeanor, but at least Hikari's won over the boy's heart (by drowning him in affection and kindness). Maybe he'll stop being such a je- yeah, right.
