Nostalgic if you’d ask me.
Yes, this would be Rakuen’s very first episodic post, starting with this series, EF - A Tale of Melodies. Now, to cut the chase, I’ll get on with the background of the episode.
Pretty much, the episode is light, since it just focused on going back to Yuu and Yuuko, and to make up for it, they made me enjoy these breath-taking sight of the sky. The only exception I’ll make, about the episode being light and all, is the nude drawing of a girl Yuu knew before, Nagi.
Oh, remember Amamiya Yuuko, from the first season? She’s that nun who keeps appearing and gives the characters some guidance, and she’s that mysterious girl in the chapel on Christmas Eve back in season 1’s first episode. Ef - A Tale of Melodies encompasses the pasts of Yuuko, Himura Yuu (Chihiro’s guardian), Shuichi (that guy who seems to have a lot of girl school uniforms), and Mizuki (who I think has an affiliation with Yuuko, and will discover Shuichi’s secret).
On a side note, there’s actually a new character introduced into the series and her name is Nagi, and she seems to be Hiro’s older sister. This kinda explains his penname of Shindou Nagi.
Now, Shuichi, who’s a friend of Yuu back in high school, had a big shot of being a professional violinist, but something happened.
And an important note: Sorry but there’re no Chihiro, Miyako, or Kei here. But Hiro and Kyousuke, did make a cameo appearance in this episode. And as I’ve said, this season concentrates on Yuu, Yuuko, Shuichi, and Mizuki. This is already in the Latter Tale of Ef - A Fairy Tale of the Two, and when this is done, I don’t think there’ll be another Ef series coming. But enough of the goodbyes, let’s just enjoy Ef as long as it airs.
Footnote: Rakuen will also be covering Chaos;Head. Nagato-sama already agreed.

No Miyako, good riddance. No Chihiro makes me sad though. ef isn’t very high priority for me, but I’m obligated to watch it since I sat through the first season.

I love this show :P
It’s really a shame that Miyako is gone (and Chihiro, too), but I’m looking forward to what’s coming. Then again, it’s ef; there’s no way I WON’T enjoy it.

@ Yamcha: You find Miyako bi*chy? Oh well.
@ rollchan: Yes she is….. Yes he is…. Oh, ok.
@ ETERNAL: Yes, and I doubt there’s gonna be another Ef after this. So it’s sayonara after all. Why don’t you rewatch the first season?

If it’s ef, I can’t blame you for turning to the dark side (episode blogging). Brilliant series.

@ Baka-Raptor: Cool. Thanks Baka-Raptor.
@ rollchan: I’ve tried the visual novel, but then I never had time to finish most of it, so probably I left it somewhere.
