Hiiragi Kagami is 2008’s Saimoe Grand Overlord Queen! It’s perfect fumoffu victory!
I already promised not to do the ‘All Hail-’ thing anymore, but this certainly changes things entirely. It was completely unexpected, since due to the results in the semi-finals of Saimoe, I thought “Ughh, Kagami’s gonna get pinned. Oh no.” But of course, and luckily, I was wrong. All hail the new queen!
First off, why did Kagamin win over Ryou’s clone? Moreover, how did she win over her clone Kyou?
Well, I’m not gonna be talking about Kyou for now (considering she already had her share of blog space in my last post). It’s just that it was an early elimination for Kyou and tough luck. Kill me now. But I assure you guys, there’ll be more tributes in the near future.
Here’s how it went:
Battle was fierce–
Ughh, sorry wrong image.
Battle was very fierce–
Ughh, wrong image. AGAIN! Those who think Rakuen’s doing this on purpose, do this expression:
Just sigh them troubles away.
<Sigh>. Battle was very very fierce. Seriously. There’s no volleyball redemption match on this one, but there’s good symmetrical docking. I love symmetrical docking. It’s so symmetrical. Anyhow, Kagami wins by about 60 votes. And the rest is history. Poor Tsukasa, but second place means you’ll be chairman for volleyball.
Here are some images to lessen your doubts (if anyone had any):
Why is Kagamin all win?
#1 Kagamin is hawt!
#2 Kagamin is all that! AND HAWT!!!
There we go. Keep celebrating!
Also, Rakuen would like to thank Kuro-puu for the wonderful news. Since I check there first before going to the AnimeSuki forums.

Pffft, unexpected? We were all over how Lucky Star would likely pwn Saimoe this year, for those who kept watch over the entire tournament. When the finals were the sisters I lol’ed. Poor Hina. :(

Battle may have been fierce, but Kagami can can henshin into Gatack, so I’m not surprised she won.
(And if you get that, congratulations on your time wasted being immersed in Japanese pop culture.)

I didn’t realize how popular Kagami was. I mean she’s a nice character but, I didn’t care for her as much as some of the other moe girls. The fact that it was down to the 2 sisters though was pretty funny.

Yeah Kagami and Konata are actually both main characters, this is like a war between a normal girl and an otaku girl. Nice pictures indeed.

@Panther: Actually, my money’s on Legendary Girl A, but this ain’t bad. It will never be bad. Bad-ass maybe, but that’s different.
@IKnight: Good call with the twin-tails. Yes, those things can be pretty deadly.
@Baka-Raptor: Nice pick. I hope she does that again next time.
@roland: Gyaahh! Don’t say that! I don’t want to be unloved by Nagato-sama. He’s/She’s got stuff to do for school. Senior year sure are troublesome. I think he/she is a senior already. Ok, I’m gonna check d-chan out.
@Larein: Well, she’s fun to watch. And I especially love her doujins… God bless those things.
@Gargron: Yah, too bad Konata didn’t make it. But I’m not complaining. Kagamin’s everyone’s win anyway. Well, most of us.
