Yes. Rakuen will be stacking up this season’s shows for next season. To tell the truth, the only series I’m following through as of now are Clannad, Toradora!, and Kannagi. But I’ll be saving Taiga’s smile for next year. For now, I’m dozing off with some online gaming to catch up to.
Anyhow, to show you some reasons to wish there ain’t a Winter 2009 season, here’s a quick preview… of some sort:
Minami-ke Okaeri
Yes, your favorite series that screwed things up is back with a third season. There is, again, a shift with the animation. But in my opinion, the animation this time leans a bit closer to the first season… I hope. So I might still check this out, because I’m a sucker for Mako-cakes.
Shikabane Hime: Kuro
Well, I didn’t bother watching the first season. So, uhhh… whatever.
Akikan!
Well, the animation looks kinda familiar, with the same illustrator with that of Shuffle! Akikan! is a love comedy harem story of magical beverage cans that turn into “beddable” (is that even a word?) girls. And may I note that these babes can only survive through infusion of carbon dioxide in the form of kissing?
Maria-sama ga Miteiru 4th Season
Some people would be enthusiastic about this, but not me. I haven’t watched the first three seasons yet so I won’t be able to cope up to watching this. There’s a yuri overtone… uhh… so I’ll check it out in 2010. (Oohh, nice schedule.)
Natsume Yuujin-chou 2nd Season
I don’t have much of a say about this. Maybe Ara-kun does. Still, Natsume Yuujin-chou is about Natsume, who sees ghosts and sets them free from the contracts that bind them.
Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo
I hope this is not “The Girl Who Leapt Through Space” or “The Girl Who Flew Through Time” or whatever.
This show + SUNRISE = Noo!!! + Most probably will be Necromancers.
White Album
In this series, the main guy already has a girlfriend, who is played by Aya Hirano. The conflict would be whether he will choose to stay with Aya (not the character’s name), now that a new girl has come to his life.
Asu no Yoichi
“That girl in the lower-left looks a lot like Shinobu! I’m so gonna check this out!”
That’s what I said.
Finality
So yeah, so many good series in 2008 Fall, so little time. So I stacked them up for next season, because most probably, I’m gonna give ‘em up. Next season’s watch list: the rest of Toradora!, Clannad After Story, Soul Eater, To Aru Majutsu no Index, Ga-Rei Zero, Kannagi, and whatever’s left from this season that I missed.
You should do this too. I learned a bit from the guys at OH!

Ah, I’m trying to catch up on Soul Eater, Gundam 00 S2, and Kannagi right now. I better catch up on Toradora! later too. Clannad’s the only one I’m caught up on actually…
I’m thinking I might give Shikabane Hime and Natsume Yuujin-chou a try. They interest me just enough for me to at least check out the first episode. When I have time, that is.

Hmm, I saw some Comiket 75 vids with Umineko no Naku Koro Ni and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei. Any idea what season those are coming out?
Also, isn’t White Album also by the people who did Nanoha? Ahhh! What ever happened to the Nanoha movie this season!

either way I’m glad Umineko is getting an anime.
I heard Toradora! isn’t getting a new episode until Januray seveth. (New OP and ED kicking in then I beleive~ I’m going to miss Pre-Parade).
Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo looks pretty moe but yet again very fanservice-y.
Didn’t Akikan! have a manga? I swear I read that summary somewhere before.
I don’t know if the Hetalia shorts would interest you.

Ara ara, I forgot to add in Maria Holic! The main gal, I’ll have to say, does look a lot like Sawachika Eri from School Rumble, and with yours truly being a fan of SR (the seasons that followed the first one got me disappointed by the way), I will check this out.
Because I love Eri.
And yes, Higurashi will be getting a third season. In my opinion, it will cover the extra and special chapters left in the game.
I loved Pre-Parade by the way. Very catchy and fun to listen to. Good thing you mentioned a new OP and ED; that would keep me wondering for a while.
