Blog some anime stuff, right?
Yes. I’m pretty much back after some time of shittery in college, but that’s fine, because I’m boss. Apparently, assistant boss because Nagato-sama did mention something to me about some plans this summer about the site. She didn’t give any specifics, which is nice– It sorta gives me something to punder about… New blog staff? Nagato-sama dating me? I get some time to slack some more? I don’t know. We’ll just hae to wait and see.
But all cockblockery aside, this post will be my sort of late Summer 2009 Preview of sorts. So let’s get into it!
I only have 3 or a couple of others more in my list this season. Maybe 1 or 2 I will blog, and the others are just filler episode posts. Here’s the list.
CANAAN
This is the first show that piqued my interests, since it’s directed by Type Moon co-founders. I forgot their names, but that’s fine. Anyhow, the anime is based from an original scenario the Type Moon guys came up from that visual novel entitled 428: Fūsasareta Shibuya de. We see, based from the cover that there are no guys, and the character designs are good-lookin’. The main character is a gun-cocking chick (that’s what I’ll assume), and she looks pretty hot. I kinda enjoyed shows like Bakuretsu Tenshi back then, wherein the chicks are the gun-totting type, and they’re pretty hot.
There’s also this thing about the characters that kinda got me laughing on the floor more interested for some reason. Here are names of two of the characters as I’ve seen in wiki:
Maria Ōsawa: Yoshino Nanjō
Cummings: Tōru Ōkawa
I know a certain Maria Osawa or Ozawa to be an AV idol, but no complains about that… but CUMMINGS! I’m guessing he/she’s the bastard/bitch character, or the lewd one. Whatever.
Again, I think this is a ‘must-watch’ show. The studio is the same one that did True Tears and Vampire Knight. I’ve done some research on 428: Fusasareta Shibuya de, and since the anime is based on that game, we might be expecting the story to be told like that movie Vantage Point. If you haven’t watched that movie yet, go watch it after reading this post.
Umineko no Naku Koro ni
This gal isn’t the main character.
Umineko no Naku Koro ni is translated When Seagulls Cry, which gives us the hind that this came from a game produced by 07th Expansion, which did the game Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When Cicadas Cry). This being an anime adaptation of a 07th Expansion visual novel, we’ll expect mystery, and some gore. The setting is on a mysterious island, people come, somebody dies or people die… We get a mystery-murder story. But that’s not all. We also get a witch. I’m not gonna spoil myself by finding out about the premise of the game, so I’ll leave it to watching the show. Don’t you go spoiling me, Fang-tan.
.
Well, that’s pretty much everything I’d like to watch. Every other spare time I have will be dedicated into writing stuff, drawing (because I plan to post some of my drawings from time to time, for fillers sake), and watching stuff I wasn’t able to watch due to stupidity.
But I might just watch Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou, and Sora no Manimani. The premise looks good.
So, okay, I’m off to play with the Light Music Club, and enjoy some heck of a time. Right. Here’s an Azu-nyan image for your satisfaction:

My lolicon instincts have warned against going for Umineko’s Maria.

@Shin: Just trust your lolicon instincts and go ahead with it.
@Legatto: Oh I don’t know about Princess Lover. It looks pretty sappy to me, and cheesy.
