Sakuraba Raimaru by Rakuen
Yes, although I’ve said that I’ll be back in August, I really need to put this one up. Apparently, I did this drawing to practice and discover my coloring style, but came to the dilemma of actually coloring the thing. I was thinking of shooting myself in case I screw it up, I’ll let you guys do the screwing up for me.
That said:
I can’t really bring myself to do it. I’ve no super duper experience on coloring yet. Maybe this is because I treat my drawing a lot like my children. I’m not a biological father yet, but I see my drawing as children. I can’t do anything about it.
Here’s my color designations for the character:
Hair = Grey
Skin color = close to pale, you know, your average pale character
Eyes(Iris) = Dark violet, a bit close to Lelouch’s
Tie and Long coat = Black, but not jet black
Pants = Dark grey
Shirt = White, or any color you might like
*include a background or something if you will.
Your efforts will be very much appreciated, I assure you. I can’t give you material stuff but maybe I could pimp you out. Just send me an email at these addresses:
Both of those addresses are in small caps. You can add me up at YIM for the second one.
With that, I leave you with great stuff to work on. If ever no one would work on this, that’s fine with me. Now, I leave you guys again, until August.
P.S. Thanks to Sakura for doing my heart good. I feel kinda weird and terribly blushing. It’s her fault.

Aww thanks! *hug* Now I’m the one feeling all great! <3
If I were any good I would give this a go, but my coloring skills are pretty basic.
I may know someone who can though… I’ll look into it.

@ Kairu, check out –> http://aviary.com/dashboard, its a pretty neat browser based photoshop style program. Its free to join or you can sign up for a pay account if you want more features, but the basic which is free isn’t too shabby.
It also has a few other programs that are pretty cool.
Or you could use –> http://www.gimp.org/ which is free to download. I use it for screencapping since it makes it really easy to scale pics to the size you want.
Or —> http://www.getpaint.net/ this program is probably the most similar to photoshop, its also free to download.

@Sakura: I hate Gimp. Aviary was okay but it there is something about it that I hate about. Getpaint.net is new to me. Is it better than Gimp?

@ Kairu, I actually haven’t had much of an opportunity to use it unfortunately. It does seem to have a lot of support though and they are always coming up with new ad-ons for it like brushes and stuff.

I can’t do manly colors, so I can’t help you there. I’d help if it was a girl though ^^
But I’d recommend Sai since it’s so user friendly. You can get a 1 month English trial for free (includes all features), and the oldest crack method of all time works on it if the trial period ever runs out.
P.S.: I like how clean your lines are, but make sure that the two sides of a person is balanced more, and don’t put so much emphasis on creases.
P.P.S.: Aww…why am I stuck with a girl from rosario vampire?
P.P.P.S: Never mind, seems like the icon changes with each edit.
P.P.P.P.S.: damn it, she’s back again!
