This is a quitting post made by a quitter.
It’s been quite a while since I’ve been active on Are-are. I’ve always had issues with maintaining my own blog, mainly the elements of “who actually cares” and “is this useful in any sense?”. The conclusion I’ve reached on every occasion I’ve had to contemplate it is: “no”. Therefore, in order to not beat a dead cat any longer, I’ve decided that I’m closing Are-are. (This is irreversible, are-are.net is due to expire at the end of the year.)
Will I disappear from blogging? That remains to be seen. If some blog owner is willing to take me on as an infrequent writer, I would be more than happy to participate. You can either comment on this post or send me an e-mail.
As for the other writers on this blog… you can can either follow me (on an amazing mythical journey!) or pave your own way. If this news is a bummer for any of you guys, I am sorry.
That all being said, sell you all next deculture. (I finally figured out what that means!)

You, Riex, and blissmo need to form a team blog for former team blog leaders.

Well, I think that means curtains for me here. But to no avail, I’ll stick around until the very end, because I love this place, and I love you people.

See you around— while I hope that you will come back up one way or the other, I respect your resolve. Please inform me though should you decide to come back. All the best Nagato!
@Baka-Raptor - They really should. seconded.

From the post (and Rakuen’s reaction), it seems that this is the first time your writers found out about this situation, in which case, SHAME ON YOU!!! What the hell?! I think it’s pretty important to tell your team beforehand! Sure, this is just blogging, and it would be silly to compare it to losing a job or getting kicked out of your house/apartment, but I still think that is very rude! I can understand if RL things get in the way, but you handled this very poorly. You’re the leader, man. You gotta set a good example!
(oh, but if you did tell them beforehand please excuse my tiny rant…)

@ Baka-Raptor: Pfff! Who would be our leader?
@ Rakuen: See the post I am about to make
@ Cokematic: I promise I won’t pull a blissmo
@ foomafoo: I’m going to make an announcement in a second
@ Seinime: Thanks.
@ Misu: Okay already! Since you asked so nicely.
@ Jesus: Err, I’m sorry? To be fair it’s probably easier for me to talk with other blog owners than keep in contact with my own writers.
