[Annotated] Blogroll
Premise: Why not? Everyone else is doing it.
The finished product of this will ideally reflect a short summary of all the sites on my blogroll. However, since I have been away from the aniblogging community for 3 months, old impressions [of blogs] may not be up-to-date. I have also added some new blogs as well. Anyway, we’ll flesh this out as it goes. ^^
Are-are
Hey, that’s us! We provide (usually) episodic summaries and thoughts of [the currently followed] anime, but sometimes we’ll post other stuff as well. Are-are is definitely the best blog evar, because Nagato is so cool. Nothing to sing but praises about this one.
Atarashii Prelude
You know, Shin’s really a prodigy. He’s able to use language in a way that is not only funny but also easy to read. And god knows he’s able to unabashedly tap into so many more jokes since he’s that secure with his sexuality. A definite recommendation.
Baka-Raptor
Baka-Raptor runs a satire anime blog closely modeled after Maddox’s Best Page In The Universe. He generally comes off as a caustic troll, but there’s always humor to be found. I especially enjoy watching Talk-A-Raptor videos.
caitlinomara
Caitlin’s blog covers all those other things [that aren't anime], like food. Usually food. It’s always enjoyable to read about the food experiences in Japan, especially how their Baskin Robbins actually does interesting things like introduce new flavors.
Danny Choo
Undisputed King of Otakudom blogging. Was even featured on CNN. His feed aggregator, otaku.fm, ranks up there with AB Antenna and AnimeNano. (Surpasses, even.) Danny’s regular updates about little bits in Otaku culture are always an interesting read.
Heisei Democracy
Heisei Democracy is great for previews on just about any anime-related merchandise you might consider purchasing. There’s always high quality (and quantity) of images that relate the aspects of said product. A good read.
Lelangiric
Lelangir, did you close shop to join two different anime team blogs? :/
mellowSPACE
mellow_bunny is a hyperactive person who actually needs to take calming meds. Don’t worry, I still love you, mellows. (: He often works on other projects with the aniblogging community, as such his blog generally suffers from lack of updates.
Rainbowsphere
Shance sure likes Touhou. I don’t read so much of Rainbowsphere since it’s usually talking about the aforementioned interest, but Shance is a good artist, so I like perusing the artwork every now and then.
Random Curiosity
The ultimate episodic blog. I don’t know how Omni does it, but I’d gather he has some sort of time-stopping device. How else can he cover so many summaries on a daily basis? It’s inhuman. Anyway, episodic summaries galore.
THAT Anime Blog
An established powerhouse of team blogging. For the most part has episodic summaries, but with some recent author additions, have also begun to provide some more editorial postings. THAT’s authors also generally have healthy debates on some of their entries.
The Animanachronism
An editorial blog where IKnight discusses the relation of animes with literal and cultural basis. I gather than IKnight is a literature major of some sort, as his posts usually have the tendency to confuse the partisan masses.
Yukan Blog!
This team blog is run by blissmo, who apparently knows how to run a team blog, as she’s gathered a team larger than I could have ever hoped to recruit. Home of the suicide bunnies, Yukan also provides your run-of-the-mill episodic summaries.
This is definitely not a devious ploy to reduce the size of my sidebar. I promise.
