Cross Academy prepares for Valentine's Day, Due to the Night Class' bishounen, all the girls are in overdrive. Zero continues to suffer from some sort of ailment. His hate for vampires and the Chairman's pacifism butt heads as usual, with Yuki there to mediate. When they leave, Yuki wonders why the Chairman always says disagreeable things in front of Zero. She remembers to when she first met Zero, his family had been killed by vampires, and he was covered in blood. Since that day, he's always been his usual stand-offy, disagreeable self.
At dusk, Yuki tells the girls not to clambor, since it's not Valentine's Day until tomorrow. One girl with glasses tries to climb the wall, only to slip, fall, and be caught by Zero. Her distinct change in love interests is interrupted by Zero telling all the fangirls to piss off. Night falls, and Zero secretly watches Yuki make chocolates. Her comment about her blood has bothered him ever since, and he stumbles away in pain again. Collapsing to the floor, he is offered a glass of water and a blood tablet by Chairman Cross, which he refuses.
The next day, all the girls from the day class line up outside the Night Class dorms in what appear to be horse racing gates. This is to prevent the Night Class from being swarmed. Having received their chocolates, the Night Class heads off. Yuki had intended to give Kaname a present, but sees that she's missed her chance. Pushed from behind, she's knocked over, and Zero picks up her present and throws it to Kaname. Kaname thanks Yuki for it.
Just Zero and Yuki are left, which leads Zero to have another ZA WARUDO attack, so he leaves and she's alone. Meanwhile, Kaname dumps all of the chocolates to his assistant, saying that the only one he wants is Yuki's. While Zero is off listening to Linkin Park, the girl he saved yesterday tries to give him a present, but he tells her to go away.
She finds him in the bathroom later, and tries to comfort her in her usual energetic way, even giving him her only successful chocolate. However, he becomes fixated on her neck again, and runs away. After he's gone, Yuki finds a blood tablet on the floor and wonders why it's there.
Thoughts:
So yeah, they're really beating around the bush here. It's pretty obvious that Zero is either a vampire or some sort of vampire hybrid, even without reading the manga. (Which I have. All the way up to Chapter 38.) Also pretty obvious he's got his eyes on Yuki, but she only has eyes for Kaname. Classic love triangle.
For those who are getting annoyed at the fangirls, don't worry. If the anime follows the manga (and it has been rather closely), then their presence is really phased out. Not much really *revealed* this episode, so I don't have that much to talk about.
