Don't worry, he's not a lolicon.

Impressions:
Not quite as suspenseful and intense as the last case. This episode used a simple murder case to highlight themes of family struggle and simple acts of kindness. The murder part of the story really didn't have all that many surprises. It was clear that it was a homicide and that one of the family members was responsible. The most interesting part was probably the fact that Ogishima could not see the faces of people. While they didn't provide any scientific explanation on why that is, I take it that it's supposed to be symbolic of what Ogishima is going through in his life. That leads to why he decided to leave his estate to Jun, who presumably is the last person whose face he could see as well as someone who had a real, genuine conversation with him. In that sense, I think the episode did a pretty good job connecting two seemingly unrelated stories to give the case a nice, feel-good conclusion.

It’s just another case of saying that money doesn’t always buy you happiness. I’m actually surprised that her mother didn’t go ahead force take it. LOL Well, guess even certain people don’t have to have everything. Nice way it came out though. The face thing got me as well. But at least he had one friend though before he went out.
