Ryoko’s Case File 1

You brought the stuff? Excellent….

Impressions:

Solid first ep. I was impressed with the story premise as well as the overall ambiance of the show. And with Iwasaki Tarou at the helm, I'm fairly certain this will be a more than competent suspense thriller. The only negative is that it's a short series, so the story may not get as fleshed out and polished as it can be. This for now will probably my sleeper pick for the season.

The only thing compelling me to watch past the first ep (if at all) is the short length :P

Are the episodes mysteries solved 1 per episode or is it looking to be an extended thing?

Very interesting first episode. It’s more action packed than Himitsu to say the least. But the jazz music type feel reminds you of Cowboy Bebop. I ‘ll probably highly recommend this one to others to check out as well. Izumida has his hands full with her attitude though. LOL

Well, the first case is going to span more than 1 ep. So it remains to be seen whether this series will have one continuous plotline, or will it consists of multiple short mini-storylines. I’m guessing it’s the latter.
